Talking
about the MTN show at the Robert Mensah Sports stadium in Cape Coast, singer
and song writer Mickey Gh described the event as a flop because the responds
from the audience was bad.
On Skery
Spark talk at Yes 102.9 fm, the musician declared that the show did not become
as it was expected because no Cape Coast artiste was put o the bill to perform
that night and the audience were few as well. “In the whole Ghana, Cape Coast
audience are the most stubborn, before the Ghana music awards nominees jam at
Cape Coast they decided not to add any Cape Coast artiste so the boys made them
aware that they will spoil the show but later when the boys heard Okortor
Perry, Mickey Gh and others are on the show see the number of people that came
and look at those who came yesterday, it was like the quarter of people at a
carnival at London bridge”. He declared
He further
said that Cape Coast Audience is now matured to the extent that they appreciate
their own and if a musician from Cape Coast does not attend an event his or her
fans will not attend as well. “This has
sent a very strong message to the organizers of the event. You need to respect
the land you are coming to do the show.
It is not that the people of Cape Coast don’t like entertainment; they
just don t like foolishness because they have their fans here” he added
The singer, Mickey Gh made things clear about
the show and said that Guru, Mzvee and Pappy Kojo couldn’t pull the crowd to
respond to their performances because it looks like people have always seen
them on tv etc and they wanted someone they know, someone they know where he
stays etc.
